The Power of Health: the forgotten solution to your family’s growth and fulfillment for a lifetime.

By: Dr. Ryan C. Cooper

Family Chiropractor

First of all, welcome to Health for Life Chiropractic! I am very grateful for the opportunity to be of service to you. I’m excited for the journey you are about to embark in reaching your health care goals. The title of this article resonates vibrantly in my heart. I’ve personally experienced and watched others transform with the power of health! Please, allow me the opportunity to share with you exactly that.

Throughout my young youth and adolescence, I found myself to be anywhere from 60-100lbs overweight. I was still popular, performed well academically and involved in multiple sports. But, something was missing. I found myself awfully ashamed of whom I was. My self-image was extremely weak. I was angry. I was sad. Superficially, I was everyone’s favorite, but deep within I was crying and shackled to my diseased state. To be “cool” I used street drugs & prescription drugs, smoked and drank alcohol. I did whatever I could to be like the other kids. I used food time and time again to hide my pains. My ability to adapt to life and stress remained choked. Therefore, my relationship with my parents and family was depressed and my outlook on life remained bleak and hopeless.

At the age of 17, something happened to me that changed my life forever (at least I thought it was just my life). I was fed up with the chains of my obesity. I decided from that day on I would no longer allow my lack of health to limit my ability to be successful and happy in all aspects of life. Three months later I lost 60+ lbs, but gained confidence, gratitude and most importantly; Health! Every division of my life enhanced. I improved physically, mentally, socially and spiritually! I found love. I held wisdom and compassion. The empowerment that greater health brought allowed me to grow tremendously as a human being and as a partner in this vast community we call planet earth!

Four years have passed and I thought I had it all figured out. I exercised, ate healthy foods, took supplements, rested well, participated in social groups and I felt connected with my spirit and purpose. I was close to finishing my bachelors’ degree in health and fitness all while teaching everyone I could about health and how to achieve it. Not only was my life changed, but others were changed as well. Unfortunately, something was missing. I still had bouts of illness, physical pains, headaches, aggression and irritability, poor relationships, etc. Then Chiropractic found me. My father was seeing a Chiropractor for a “bad back” and he thought I should check it out. Finally, I had my missing piece of the health puzzle. Throughout all my studies about health, I never took into account the utmost importance of the spine and nerve system for children and adults. The purpose of the brain and nerve system is to control and coordinate the function and adaptation of the entire body. The spine protects the delicate nerve system. If the spine is not functioning properly, there will be dysfunction and sickness throughout the nerve system and thus the entire body. This made so much sense to me. I started to see a Chiropractor and my life was ever changed. Over time, my body started to function properly and I gained an entire new level of optimum health that you can only experience to believe it. After a short while, I decided to attend Palmer Chiropractic College to begin my lessons of health at its greatest potential.

Fast forward another six years and here WE are today. As a Chiropractor, it is my intent to educate, communicate and inspire the true identity of Chiropractic and the devastating effects of Vertebral Subluxation Complex to you, your friends and family, the community of Northville and the world. I excitingly look forward to helping you empower yourself with knowledge and health. I truly do believe that you can achieve the power of health and reap the incredible benefits that only health provides. With health, you can have more energy to enjoy life, be a better parent or teacher, love more, create more wealth, be closer to God, be more compassionate, volunteer more, be more grateful,  travel more and be better at everything you can think, say or do. The foundation of life is health. Let’s look forward to seeing your mind, body and spirit come alive, energized and have a higher quality of life with yourself and everyone you encounter. Ask yourself, “What if I were healthier? What if our children were healthier? WE must expand our horizons to the potential that healthier individuals do make the world a better place to live. WE can and will make a difference for generations to come!

You never know how far reaching something you may think, say or do will change the lives of millions tomorrow.” –B.J. Palmer D.C.

Family Chiropractor

Dr. Cory R. Baltazar, B.S., D.C.

This is Where Passion Fulfills a Dream…

Hello new and future patients!  My name is Dr. Cory Baltazar and I am excited to be a part of Health for Life Chiropractic. I graduated Valedictorian from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida in March 2012.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to display my passion for chiropractic here in the Northville area.  I promise to give you the best care possible. My parents have been a huge encouragement to me my whole life. From the time I was a little kid, I remember telling my dad that I was going to work for him as a car salesman.  Fortunately he told me repeatedly “I don’t care what you become, just give your best at what you do.”  My mom and I would trade massages and afterwards I would use my hands to “crack” her back.  Even as a kid my potential for being a chiropractor was developing.  Eventually she told me that there was a profession that did something similar to this and they were doctors.  As I grew older, my dad realized that I had great potential so he steered me toward college and away from the car industry.  What a blessing in disguise this was for me.

Being ADD all my life and taking medication just to be able to sit down in class, I did not feel that I was cut out to pursue becoming any kind of doctor.  Although school was always difficult for me,  I did well. Chiropractic school just came so natural for me.  The hands-on-learning is what came so easy to me along with my fascination and curiosity of the human body. Naturally, it is my passion to help children with learning disabilities through chiropractic care, which I never received as a kid.  Every single person with a nervous system can benefit from chiropractic care that will lead to a lifetime of health and wellness!

On June 26th 2011, I married the love of my life, Lauren.  She is an amazing kindergarten teacher and has big plans in the future to share her passion for teaching and writing children’s books.  We are enjoying being newlyweds and fixing up our first home. When I am not in the office, I still enjoy playing an occasional game of ice hockey.  I played travel hockey for 14 years and am proud to say that I was on a team that won 3 State Championships in a row.  It is still one of my passions to this day.  You can also find me working out at Planet Fitness throughout the week so I can keep my body in top physical condition.  When time and weather permit, I like to play golf, water sports and snow sports.

It has been a true calling from God to become a chiropractor.  As I like to tell people, chiropractic found me.  Fortunately for some reason this always stuck in the forefront of my mind and was the only thing that I could see myself doing for the rest of my life!
